Big news!

In case you haven’t heard, we have some news around here! Baby Sellers #2 will be joining us sometime early April! We are excited and a bit terrified at the same time (a newborn AND a toddler – yikes!). Really, though, we couldn’t be happier and feel incredibly thankful, thankful beyond words, to have a little person growing in my belly. I got some help from Lulu to make the announcement:

We took Lucy with us to the 12-week appointment last week so we could all hear the heartbeat together. I was nervous beforehand, worrying that we wouldn’t hear one. After the miscarriage I’m a bit more gun shy. But at first pass, the heartbeat of our little peanut came in loud and clear at 160 bpm! We hadn’t talked to Lucy about it until then, and so we just said, “Do you know what that is? That means mommy has a baby in her belly!” I’m sure glad Whit was there to explain, because I was a blubbering, tearful mess listening to that crystal clear heartbeat! Our convo with Lu about the new baby went something like this…

Whit: How do you feel about having a little brother or little sister?
Lulu: Good!

So. There you have it! Clearly our almost-three-year-old isn’t fully processing what we are telling her!

We can’t wait to meet you, little peanut. Your big sis has so much to tell you! ❤️❤️

Day Out With Thomas

Lucy has never actually seen an episode of “Thomas the Tank” but somehow she still is well aware if who he is. And the girl loves trains. So Grammie, Papa, and I took her for a “Day Out With Thomas.” Held at the TN Railway Museum, they did a fabulous job putting on a great, manageable, organized event! See the pics below!

First stop: a little putt-putt:

Followed by a temporary tattoo:

And finally, on the train!

Thanks to Grammie and Papa for such a memorable day! I’m pretty sure we will be hearing about this one for a loooooong time!

Do you wanna build a snowman?

I’ve already posted this baby on social media, but I had to get it here so when I’m rereading my blog posts from years back, I can remember this precious moment. This is a song from the movie Frozen, a box office smash that Lulu hasn’t yet seen, but also hasn’t escaped the soundtrack! She’s currently filling a jar of cotton balls for good behavior in order to get to watch the film! Here she is, world: Lucy Sellers with “Do you wanna build a snowman?”
