Lucy is getting bigger and more able to “earn her keep” around here! Today we went to the farmers market and bought some plants. I completely underestimated how much excitement Lucy would find in planting those little suckers. I think more potting solid ended up on the driveway than in the pots, but it was well worth it. She was ecstatic to help with this, and quite proud of herself when it was all done! Happy spring, y’all! Here are some pics…
Today was just an all-out gorgeous day. Sunny and a high of 81? Um, sign us up! Oma and Opa are visiting, and we ventured downtown to the Cherry Blossom Festival. One of the best moments was watching the Taiko drummers. This girl was into it!
After that, we hugged a lot of mascots, which is a major development! Typically Lucy will get within about 20 feet and then hide behind me.
Oma and Opa enjoyed some sweet moments, too, in this beautiful weather! >
After a long nap and a lovely dinner, Lucy and I just couldn’t go home yet. The evening was too pretty! An ice cream date with “just Lucy and mommy” (one of Lu’s favorite sayings) was in order. This has been a day to remember. >
